A nightmare

I'm in my high school. Someone was looking for me, and I was told he was going to kill me. I saw him prowling the school grounds, and I ran looking for a place to hide. While evading him, I managed to leave the high school building and run towards the grade school building. I went directly to the coordinator's office... he was my sixth grade advisor and mathematics teacher. I told him someone was going to be looking for me, and could I please hide under the desks. While I slide under the desks, I went on to suggest to the nearby teacher, she was my math teacher in freshman year, to tell the person looking for me that I've already gone to holidays for the rest of the year. As I waited under the desk, people from my high school came and went.

I am between library catalog panels. I could hear people chatting and giggling in the next aisle, so I risked it and tiptoed to see who they were. I saw old classmates from high school and grade school, they were flicking through yearbooks. I saw my oldest friend (who is now in New Jersey), and I whispered "loudly" to her, asking her to come near. I told her the name of the person trying to kill me, realising it was one of my batchmates (E.C.). For some reason I saw his full name flash before my eyes, and I suddenly knew he was mentally unstable, and capable of killing.

A note arrived in that room: it was a freakishly-written letter, saying there was a bomb planted in our building. I started trying to kick open the windows, they were tempered glass. We were trapped inside. Guys with guns circling the building, we can see them through the glass. We figured we'll survive this ensuing massacre if we hid among the falling colourful foam shapes from the ceiling. I tried to keep myself in the middle of all the foam shapes, avoiding gunfire. I saw some on our side defending themselves from the hostiles by leaping and making 360 turns while kicking in the air, hitting a soft spot in the killer's body. And apparently, these killers now have wings?

I realised then that I was in an indoor compound, where everyone inside is dead, but walking. I saw friends, my neighbour friends M and C were there. We all knew we were dead, but we had knowledge that we were going to be sent back to the land of the living.

A conference

I asked my father to drive me to our neighbouring town, because there was a conference there. I didn't seem to find peculiar it was only an hour-and-a-half long conference, but more importantly that Boss M was attending. When I got there it turned out that the 'entire' lab was there (M, Z and myself). We were chatting about what we should do about the performance required. I thought I may as well say I could play the guitar, and turns out M admittedly plays really well on piano. He was also a good singer. While getting ready for our number we realised that the time has passed so quickly, there wasn't any time to actually present anymore. Oh well, it had been fun playing.

Bartering the self

We were on an obstacle course, nature vs man comes to mind. There were caves and bush and crappy suspension bridges across deep ravines. At one point, I realised I was trailing behind, and you are now nowhere in sight. You have left me. There are guides that egg us on to push through with the challenges ahead.

We come to a cliff-like area where any wrong move will cause you to plunge to your death in the fall below. The guide was acting sinister, not helping any of us, saying we ought to do it on our own. When I came past him, I saw that he had an ability to reach for a person and haul that person away to safety. I surrendered myself to my fear, and out of desire to get out of the situation and reach safety, I begged him to please, get me away. I would do anything, even allow him to have his way with me. Yes, I had sunk so low for survival.

Then I look at his face, and this grinning sinister of a man suddenly had the face of Hugh Grant. It was so strange to see him smiling, saying "Great, that sounds wonderful, I shall meet you by the airport in a few hours. And please don't be late." And I replied "All right, make sure I am back here promptly tomorrow morning as I have another appointment to meet."

Then I had woken up, wondering sheepishly if I did have a chance, would I let Hugh Grant, who several times had been in the media attention for lewd behaviour, take advantage of me?

Lava

Riding the train. I don't know how I did, but I realised there was lava flowing outside coming towards us. I was watching it come close as if just watching television. As it melted its way through a thick cement wall, I look at the end of the train cab, and see smoke and hear sizzling sounds. The people seated there are wincing slightly, but the mood inside the train is calm but worried. I turn to my companions, who turn out to be my parents. My father was snoozing in the seat behind us, my mom seated beside me. I kissed my father on the cheek as I say "Wake up papa, nagugunaw na mundo" and then kissed my mom too, We stood up, and I tell them "Wear your jackets" while in my head I wondered if we can easily walk around with extra weight of the jacket, then decided it is extra protection from the heat from the lava. I also imagined how I can carry my mom on my shoulders, should it come to it.

We stepped towards a door of the train, then suddenly we are at the front of the train, as I can see the driver maneuvering the street. So it wasn't a train, or it must've been the shortest train ever. The driver started to slow as a pedestrian crossed the street, while we waited for the door to completely open. It looked jammed, so someone started to kick it open. We stepped out.

We started walking down a hill, and I took a glance at a side street and saw the lava still coming towards us. My brother, who I now realise was with us, changed direction walking. My mom asked "Where's Eins?" then I realise my brother isn't around anymore. Then my father changed direction and started walking back up the hill towards the lava. I thought, okay, maybe he has a bright idea, so I start following him back up, with mom close by also walking up. The lava is already under our feet, and I see that it is already hurting my father as he walked, and I told them "Don't let your feet linger to long on the ground, look" and showed them how I was walking fast, raising my feet right away as it hit the ground. The lava wasn't burning us as we thought. Again, I was thinking how I will be able to carry my mom, should it come to it.

A robotic rubbish monster

I recall I was lying down on a sofa with AJ discussing how to allocate our holiday time in terms of probabilities. AJ points out that one of our friends always wears skimpy clothes, and one time he could see too much of her.

We are in a fancy condominium, dunno whose. Someone looks out the window (a big window) and remarks we are safely tucked away. We all hear a tapping noise, and realise it is coming from the window. We later see a huge rubbish bin with metal tentacles climbing up and now tapping on the window.

I grab one of the toddlers and bring her to the door. The robotic rubbish monster poises to shatter the window, until I step out the doorframe with the baby girl, then it stops. I step in again, and it starts again, then we step out and it stops. I declare the conclusion that it is out to harm the baby, and not another toddler who is still inside the room.

I go out to the corridor and encounter samurai swordsmen and other fighters who seem to be getting ready for a battle. They don't seem to care about us as we rush past, running away from the room from whence we came.

We entered one of the offices, there are people inside with swords, and I tell them there are fighters coming their way, and they rush out. We hide inside one of the small cubicles and close the door.

One of the enemy swordsmen try to get in. I try to block the door but realise the best way is to get past this enemy and go back to the condominium room where AJ was. I push the door against him, sending him sprawling to the floor. I pin him down with my leg, my knee against his throat. I was hoping he'd lose consciousness, but since he is still struggling, I realise I have to kill him. I picked up his sword (magically beside me by the floor, and very light too) and struck his throat. Blood gushed out but I look away. I look at one finger and see that there is a drop of blood there, and I flick my finger to get it off.

I carry the child with me outside, running towards the room from whence we came.

A room of doom

I was setting up a device that I knew would cause harm to anyone within some known distance to it. I knew what I was doing. I was testing it for effectiveness. But I had no time to waste. Soon as I set it off, I have exactly 15 minutes to get out of its way by going to a different room.

I set off the timer. It starts to count down.

I start walking calmly away from it, counting the seconds in my head. As I approach a stairwell on my way out the safe door, I start to feel dizzy. I faint counting 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I travel in and out of consciousness, wondering if I am still counting time correctly. Wondering if the device will release the deadly poison that will kill me instantly.

I struggle to get up with thoughts of panic welling up. I see the door, I was still dazed. I pull myself up and move towards it.

The mystery of the baby poo

This one is a weird dream.

For some reason, I was tasked to take care of a certain baby. A friend was carrying his son infront of his chest. He handed me the little boy with his hands clutching the boy's armpits. I accepted the boy thinking it was sort of a blessing. The boy happily slept in my arms as I sway my body from side to side.

After sometime, the sleeping baby is already in a small sofa which also serves as his bed. Since the baby is already sleeping, I thought of checking his diaper if it was still fresh. So when I checked the baby, it became a small egg-like toy - the same size as a pokemon ball. It was white spherical toy with a diaper-like contraption in it's bottom. Still thinking of my initial purpose of checking the diaper, I detach the 'diaper' from the bottom of the pokemon ball.

There was nothing in the diaper. I was standing there confused. I was thinking where the heck did the poo went? It was as if I was pretty sure that the 'baby' pooed and it should be there. There were many buttons to push such that the pokemon ball behaved like a transformer. So many movements happened and try as I might, there was no poo anywhere.

I gave up and concluded the baby did not pooed at all.

Teaching and a trip

teaching
one class finished already
gathering my things already
2 professors came in to discuss with me
we were too engrossed
but in back of my head i wanted to go out of the room already
students started to bustle in
i realised this is my next class already
the professors left
i started to introduce myself to the class
there was a little noise
i told them if they started to get to my nerves in any way
if they are noisy like little kids
i will not say anything, but rather just leave the room
they should discipline theselves and each other if that were the case
one student on my right, was sitting on the side of the room opposite the windows
he raised his hand as if to ask a question
i called on him, taking note that i dont know any of their names yet
but i will as the session progresses and i see their exam results
he asked me if i could speak louder as he cannot understand what i was saying
i was tempted to ask the other students who sat farther away than him if they could hear
and give him an analysis of the distance, outside noise and wind direction (negligible)
that would show that he had a hearing problem, and nothing related to the level of my voice.
but i didnt

cut to a different scene
bus ride
Co-student Z on left 1 seat ahead of me
Boss M on left also in front of bus
me on right wiht no one beside me
group got off at a stop in melbourne
i am with 2 girlfriends
i am pushing a pram with a daughter of one of our male companions
the father was lagging in walking behind us, entrusting me with his daughter
steep climb
museum?
after walking some distance we see a huge stadium, and a dome that was magnificent against the sky
ah this is the venue of the conference we are attending
it is beautiful!
we stopped to take photos, the walk was still a steep part
i looked over to Maggi (that was the name of the little girl riding the pram) and told her to stay where she was
she smiled and i made sure her pram was sideways against gravity in the steep walk
i realised i forgot to bring my camera
i told this fact to my girlfriends
one of them i realise was N (college friend), who was using a camera phone
i said i hope i didnt lose the camera when i moved houses
i looked back to where Maggi should have been and found her gone.
Then from afar i saw her pink pram among the crowd, moving downhill
I ran past the people and raced to where she was
I got to her, thankfully, and she was safe.
The father was nearby, he didnt know what happened and thanked me for caring for Maggi.
So I strayed away from them and started looking around at the stalls
there were a lot of thing-a-ma-jigs being sold here, I didn't notice earlier on our way up.
Then R (My friend C's brother; in my head it became clear that C was the other girlfriend i was with in this trip) came running to me
Maggi fell to the water!
There was a moat surrounding us, and I saw Tita B (R's mother) knee deep in the water on our left
She motioned to R to help her gather Maggi's stuff on her side, and to me to work on the right
I turned my back on them and saw toys and toy parts floating on the water surface
I didn't have to get in the water to reach them, so I knelt by it and started to pick them up
I saw a nearby box where they seemed to come from (there was a molded plastic in their likeness)
and i put them inside one at a time.
The toys looked familiar, they were the expensive kind of figures with accessories
the box had a price tag on it... 4,100
I was thinking in dollars so it shocked me
Later on someone told me no the price is about right, so I though maybe I was wrong
I started to walk back up again, this time bent on buying something so I didnt feel emptyhanded
Nothing interested me
I reached the top and decided to walk down again, this time looking at the shops on my left.
gold
looking for something to buy
heart
manipis na ring
chinese customer and owner of stand arguing
in Chinese
end

Groceries and dancing

drawer, pictures, group photos
grade school boys
shopping in grocery, just for myself
i was pointing out things to buy to a person behind a counter
coke
cheese curls
but i was apparently living with some boys and my parents
paid but i lost the cart in the aisle
alex albrecht helped me find it
i was in distress so he was calming me down
put his arm around me steadying me
he had to blow his nose i offered my hand LOL
he took away his hand to get a kerchief
found my cart in an aisle near to the boys
inside one of the bags i saw chocolate cheese curls (or something oishi)
i thought this was the junk food M (from plurk) was talking about
we sort of went full circle and it was almost the last aisle to check
while they were on checkout i stepped outside to wait
saw meeting between mam C, some famous guy i forgot the name and another old guy
cautiously said hello to mam C
told her i knew her son L (who i also met in plurk) lol
the famous dude said oh your the daughter of...
and i said yes I'm the daughter of Mrs R
then he took out some kaimitos i thought he was giving them to me but he opened one
said it was yummy
my mom came out and started talking to them
a girl friend came out and said let's dance
i looked up and saw yes alex albrecht and company are still in the checkout counter
i thought so where are the other people so we can dance with them

Supernatural

Someone, or something, was pursuing us. They are hot on our trail. We evade them somehow, and are always a step or more ahead. We can fly... no it is not flying, it is jumping in huge strides across trees and houses. It was natural, yet supernatural. But in the excitement of the chase, we got separated. I found myself alone, lost. A crowd in a valley, walking around in the grass with no clear direction. No din, no panic, just mellow people walking around. It was pitch dark, I found myself in an urban alley. The stink is familiar. I am in the streets of Tayuman. I saw the walls inside the house of my maternal grandmother. A photo of my grandfather, I wondered how I can acquire it to make a copy to bring home to my mother.

I felt I had to hurry, I needed to be in hiding. I am suddenly inside a cavern. There was a group of little creatures, goblin-like but friendly-looking, loading packages (that looked like food and supplies for households) onto a platform. The platform was a huge dead stump a a large tree, perhaps 50 persons across. When the stump grew full, the packages were sucked in as in a warp, or portal.

One by one the little people jumped into the portal, with a person of authority calling out those who qualify. I see eager faces. They want to be called. Anyone left behind will suffer. I realise I should be called. But suddenly the portal closes, and only a handful of us are left.

A lanky fellow speaks to me. We cannot pass, he says. There is only one way. These produce that is left, we must bring them to Timberlung. Another retorts, That is a dangerous feat! We cannot survive, it would be suicide! We must wait for a few months, or a year, to be sure that we will not be devoured. By then there will be order, and we can proceed our market in peace.

But no, the lanky fellow said. We have no choice. We must risk the danger, lest we starve to death. I was uncertain, I knew not what to do--- die, or fight.

Then I awoke.

From CR to weirdo

Sometimes you dream that you are waking up from your sleep and doing your morning rituals (showering, brushing teeth, tidying up the bed) only to find out you are still sleeping and you are already late for work.

That's what happened to me this morning.

I dreamt that I got up of the bed and proceeded to the bathroom (as what I usually do). When I opened the door, I saw the housemate potty-training his son inside the bathroom. He was standing in front of the toilet while the son is sitting down and waiting to finish his poop. The grandma was in the kitchen and saw me perplexed infront of the bathroom door and blurted out 'ay, nagising na'.

I went back to my room, sulking. Waiting for the housemate to knock on my door to tell me that they are finished and I can use my bathroom. There was no knock after about 5minutes so I got up and peeked outside. I saw that they are not in the bathroom anymore and I proceeded to go inside. Then I noticed that the glass door for the shower space is not there anymore. It was removed or something.
Grandma saw me when she passed by going to her room and told me that the cleaners removed it because it was broken.

I said 'di naman sira yun ah, bakit nyo pinatanggal'.

Grandma said, 'ay di pala sira marumi lang'.

Then I replied 'hindi marumi yun, lagi kong nilinis yun'.

Grandma made another excuse and said 'sabi ng cleaners mas maganda daw kung LaTex ang gagamitin kasi mas powerful yun'.

I said (defending my knowledge in LaTex and I knew that she doesn't know any LaTex), "hindi na kailangan ng LaTeX kung email at resume lang ang gagawin, pwede na ang Word. Bakit ka gagamit ng LaTeX eh di ka naman marunong nun? Simple lang ang kailangan mo."

Then I woke up for real.

MRT Ride

I was riding the bus from Ballota to Simei MRT. I am on the window seat and was wearing my white polo giordano shirt, the one with Pooh and Tigger in the left breast pocket. This shirt is somewhat small for me now. If I stretch upwards, my belly would show up. So I figure, I should wear my ibm jacket to hide my belly. Just like that, I was suddenly wearing my jacket.

As I am nearing my stop, my high school friends were there inside the bus, talking to me and asking me where I was going. I told them I am going to Christian's wedding and I am badly needed there and I cannot go with them for gimmick.

I got off at the MRT station and went ahead towards the escalator. There was a free newspaper (tabloid size) in one corner and I got a copy. We have this newspaper here that is half English and half Chinese. The newspaper I picked up is similar to that one but with Tempo on the first half and some generic tabloidal newspaper on the next half. I told myself, this is pretty cool, we are getting more efficient and saving paper too.

So I proceed to the next escalator going to the platform. I am busy reading the newspaper and am very amused by the innovation. When I reached the platform, I noticed that I am on the wrong side. The train that I am supposed to ride is on the other platform. In order for me to get there, I would need to go down one level again and go up on the other side. I figured it was the newspaper's fault. As I was heading down, I saw my train fast approaching.

I plowed myself through the crowd. Pushing everyone in front of me. I slid down the escalator, action star style and with finesse. Continuing my pushing and shoving, I rushed to the escalator going back to the correct platform. I reached the correct platform now but the train closed it's door and is now moving.

Plane Ride

We were checking in for a plane ride. The plane that we are riding is a cargo plane where the tail-end is where the cargoes are being loaded, just like a military style plane.
It may be a cargo plane, but the inside is just like an ordinary passenger plane with carpeted seats and all. The only difference is that when you look at the back, instead of the lavatory, the baggages and cargoes are stacked there.

We are now strapped in and the plane is taxiing forward. While the plane is moving, Rheena, Ella and Hazel stood up and went to the baggages to get their kikay kits. They were moving bags and digging deeper and deeper to get their things. The stewardess called out for them and cried for them to sit down or we will be in trouble. No sooner than that, the cargo door opened and the bags flew out and dropped to the ground. We are still taxiing and we can see the bags open up as they hit the ground. The 'runway' turned to jungle like place where trees are on both side of the road.

After all the bags dropped, we stopped and I think there was an engine trouble. Then all of a sudden 3 ex-colleagues from my first IT job rushed out of the plane. I can remember their faces but not their names. They are, what we called, the 'utusan' and 'sip-sip' boys of the company. They rushed out from the plane leaving from the cargo door shouting 'We're free! We're free!'.

Rock-a-bye tooth

There I was rocking my wisdom tooth back and forth using my tongue. It's been loose since I can remember. I know I am hesitant to pull it off and would want it to stay there a little bit longer. But I still continued to rock it away.

Then it just suddenly fell inside my mouth. I spat the tooth out.

There is this tooth with roots about an inch long in my hand.

It is an ordinary tooth but the inch long 4-prong roots make it special. What's more, there are 2 roots that are coated with shiny red metallic steel. I've no idea why it was coated.

Now, I did a little research and turns out many people are having this kind of dream - tooth falling out. It was related to anxiety about appearance. :D Might be true for me. Been dreaming of tooth falling out since I took notice of how I appear in front of the mirror.

A garden and a train.

You and I were on a holiday in an oriental place. Part of the tour brought us to a huge garden, a botanical park. Faces in the tiny crowd included people from the past and present. Some called friends, other just familiar.

At one point of the tour I started to get tired, decided to wander off ahead of the group. Began to descend stairs and soon realised I've exited the park. Figured you'd catch up later, and wouldn't mind me going ahead to home. I wanted to sleep.

Got to the stairs going to the train. Saw the train arriving and got on. Saw the platform had a sign with an airplane icon as the train doors closed. As the train moved away, I realised I was on the wrong train.

Got off at the next stop, platform signs directed me to trains going to the "supermarketplace and people's park". Walked down stairs along with a crowd of people, commuter flow during rush hour.

I worried how I can access the correct platform to ride the train back to where you were, I had no ticket access. Reassured myself that it was going to be okay, I'll use my credit card to buy a ticket. I have no local currency.

Still descending stairs, and as I reached the bottom I found myself in a clearing. Recognised it as the entrance to the pakr that I had left earlier. Saw a crowd of people coming from stairs, familiar faces walked past. I didn't talk to anyone, I just wanted to find you. I was worried you would be worried by now.

Finally saw your face up the stairs in the sea of people. Waved my hand and saw you smile. As you reached the bottom of the stairs I ran towards you and grabbed your hand, dragged you away saying "Hurry I have something to tell you". Saw a sculpture of the Opera House at the stair banister. "Hey look at that", I say. "Ah that's nice", you say. Thought about snapping a photo, but thought no, I had to tell you what happened before I forget. Recounted what happened to me on the train. Then asked you, "Why whould it be the wrong direction if you live near the airport?"

Father and son

A boy and his father move to a new place for a fresh start. Typical story of a boy who feels ripped away from his former life, and a father who finds it hard to communicate with his son. The small family of two struggle through their predicament, and are forced into normalcy as the boy enters a new school and the father takes on a new job.

The boy develops a friendship with a young girl in his school who lives close to his house. They walk home together, and have long talks about fun things, sad things and almost anything. Nothing is said about the girl apart from that she is a nice person, who enjoys the company of this boy.

One day the boy becomes bullied by boys in his school, and he rushes off home without seeing the girl. He finds solace inside a shed behind their house, but the girl later finds him there, with his face, streaked with tears, buried in his hands while he sat on the cold ground. He then confides in the girl about how he always gets treated this way, even in the other schools that he had attended. He relates a story about an embarrassing situation he was involved in the most previous school. The girl listens intently.

They hear a noise from outside the shed, then look out to find some boys from their school have followed them home, and have eavesdropped on the boy telling his story. They run away laughing and screaming "Ah now we know that was you, don't worry that is the exact same version of the rumor that we already know! Only now, we know that it's true!"

The boy then runs away even more embarrassed in the situation and leaves the girl calling his name. He runs inside his house and locked his room.

His father returns home to find him in his bedroom, and asked if he could have a talk with him. He finally opens his bedroom door and lets his father in.

The father starts to tell him a story. There was a boy in another city who had a father who sold nwwspapers in a sidewalk outside a grocery store. The boy would come with his father when he went to sell papers, coz they had no home and no one else can look after him. While his father sold papers, he sometimes wandered off to play.

Now the owner of the grocery store was a mean man, who wouldn't let the boy's father sell newspapers inside his store, because his father cannot pay for the rent. He disliked having the boy's father sell newspapers outside the store, but he thought there was no one harmed in this way anyway, and let it slip for now as there was no reason to throw him away.

One day the boy got bored of his playing with rocks and bottles in the sidewalk, and wandered into the grocery store. He had forgotten that he hung his dirty shoes around his neck with he shoelaces, so he perhaps looked more shabby than he had imagined. So while he wandered into the store, he had wandered to the freezer section unknowingly, a tiny boy in shabby clothes who reeked of smelly feet.

There was a moment where the boy saw a rat run across the room, which startled him a bit. Then he realised he should kill the rat. Now he became aware of the shoes hung about his neck, and he held on to one of them ready to pounce on the rat when it shows.

Then he saw the rat jump towards the freezers. He threw the shoe in its direction, and the shoe hit the top glass cover of one of the freezers, shattering it to pieces. This brought terror to his body that he almost peed his pants.

The grocery shop owner was right in front of him. He thought about hitting the boy, but instead stormed out of the shop, went straight after the boy's father. The shop owner picked up a bunch of newspapers, and tore them to pieces. It wasn't soon after that he had slashed and destroyed every paper the boy's father was selling.
